It describes the algorithms, or sets of logical procedures, that a computer can implement and shows the student how to illustrate these steps with flowcharts. It begins with an explanation of elementary programming theory and flowcharting rules, then gradually presents more involved, sophisticated programming techniques used to solve problems in business and technical data processing environments. Chapters six and seven present a series of exercises to build mastery of these techniques.
